Bad boys, whatcha gonna do when they come for you?

Two juveniles stole a fire extinguisher from Eagle River Bowl and then proceeded to deploy that extinguisher inside a nearby porta-potty. Officers made contact with the two boys who were on bicycles. As officers were in the process of contacting the parents of both children, the two ran off on foot and refused to comply with officers’ directions to stop and come back. The parents of both involved kids responded to the scene. Both boys were charged with Criminal Mischief, Theft IV, and Resisting Arrest. The bicycles the boys had been riding were taken by officers for safe keeping as the parents stated the bikes did not belong to the boys (the bikes had not been reported as stolen to police).
