A public hearing for the rezone request has been set for Mon., March 6 at the Loussac Library Anchorage Assembly Chamber meeting room at 6:30 p.m.
The members of the Chugiak Community Council (CCC) gather every third Thursday in the basement of the Elsie Oberg Building on the Old Glenn Hwy.
The community room was lined with nearly a dozen maps and charts showing the design concept for the intersection of Eagle River Road.
At the Jan.18 CCC meeting, the council passed a motion that the issue of the Carol Creek plans be taken up at the Chugiak-Eagle River Advisory Board.
Jean Truscott has been spinning wool since the 80’s. Once a month, she joins a group of spinners at the Eagle River Library for two hours of spinning.
Problems include municipal platting discrepancies, the local road crossing private property, and a guide fence made of rocks that could damage vehicles.
The girls were making a quinzhee (pronounced kwinzee), which is a shelter made entirely out of snow at the Eagle River Nature Center.
