Once again the Chugiak Dog Mushers will offer community members and businesses a chance to drive a sled dog team in the 2019 Friends of CDMA Race!
The race will be held at noon on Saturday, March 30, at the Beach Lake Sled Dog Trails. All proceeds go to the Chugiak Dog Mushers Association, providing opportunities for the public to learn about and experience the joy of dog mushing.
The Race: The “Friends of CDMA” Race is a three-dog, two-mile sprint race on the groomed Beach Lake Park Sled Dog Trails in Chugiak. CDMA mushers provide the dogs, sled, and training – you provide the driver! Trophies will be provided to the top three mushers.
Sled Decorations: Advertise your business or display your own personal style by decorating your sled! A panel of judges will award a trophy for the best-decorated sled.
Training: Each participant will have the opportunity for one-on-one training with their assigned musher and team. To provide plenty of time to schedule your training session, please send your entry no later than March 17, 2019.
Registration: Dog teams are limited, so sign up as soon as possible! If you have already lined up a musher and team, please include his/her name on your entry form in the space provided. Your race entry fee of $250.00 helps support CDMA events and our wonderful trail system.
