Jesse Basler is a lifetime Alaskan resident. He was shot in the abdomen in front of his Eagle River home in the early morning of January 4th, 2018.

Jesse underwent a 4 hour surgery to repair his large intestine. The emergency responders, police, firefighters, paramedics, and hospital surgeons saved his life.
