Alehouse vs. OMR
In Game 9 of the AA playoffs, it was the respective two vs four seeds where Alehouse all but blanked OMR 6-1. Karl Greninger scored a hat trick to lead the Alehouse offensive effort on the night.  Ryan Weaver and Garrett Riley also made headlines of their own, with Weaver netting two goals and an assist while Riley tallied a goal and two helpers. The scoreboard was barely warmed up before OMR’s Stanley Shepard put a quick one in the books, netting a goal at just :28 seconds into the match assisted by Jason Novotny on the crease play.  Alehouse teed off on the next six unanswered goals, four of them coming in the first period. Weaver found his first goal unassisted swooping in from the right boards for the 1-1 score at 14:42. Karl Greninger teamed up with Riley three minutes later, for the 2-1 play stopper. On the next score, Greninger connected with Weaver at the midway mark of the first, for the 3-1 Alehouse celebration. Riley wrapped up the first period Alehouse breakout, going unassisted for the 4-1 goal.  The barmen went silent in the second, but got back to business in the third period when Riley roused Greninger with a fresh puck who retired the rubber with his 5-1 hat trick goal. Alehouse didn’t leave any points in their hand when Weaver went out on a solo snipe, for his final 6-1 goal.
