
Alehouse vs. PIAS
ER Alehouse are your 2018 AA ERHL champions, having defeated PIAS 3-1 in the playoff finale. Ryan Weaver filled his scrapbook with 10 total points these playoffs, with two coming off his two-goal final game performance for Alehouse.  After nine combined penalties and no scores in the first period, the game got down to business at 11:54 in the second period when Adam Purdy scored an Alehouse goal off a Garrett Riley assist. Cody Pitman had box seat tickets for high sticking and yet was still able to celebrate Purdy’s 1-0 shorthanded wrister in front of the net. At 3:07 in the second, Weaver put Alehouse up 2-0 assisted by Zachary Macy on the crease play. Weaver’s second goal of the game, assisted by Steve Truesdell, put Alehouse up 3-0 with 5:38 to play in the third period.  Ryan McCormick saved PIAS from a shutout when he scored 3-1 down the middle, with Kevin Hao and Tim Plucinski going Dutch on the goal assist at 5:02 in the final period. Winning goalie Mike Allen had 10 saves for Alehouse while Patrick Zmuda had 19 stops on 22 shots. Clear some shelf space at the Alehouse, the local boys are bringing over some hard-earned hardware.
