The Chugiak-Eagle River Chamber of Commerce, serving the community since 1970 has announced the selection of Britney Olsen as its new associate director.
Britney Olsen is a born and raised Alaskan who has lived in the Chugiak-Eagle River community her entire life. She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Alaska Anchorage with a Major in Justice and a Minor in Communications. For the last nine and a half years she has worked with the Division of Juvenile Justice at McLaughlin Youth Center as a Juvenile Justice Officer. During that time, she has been committed to assisting with holding youth accountable for their behaviors, keeping the public safe and restoring the harm caused to the community. During her tenure, Britney was also the Program Lead for the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Grant and brings a wealth of knowledge in workforce development and community member involvement. Britney looks forward to using her unique skills in her new role.
With the support of the Chamber Members, the new Directors will bring a new energy and innovation while still ensuring that we hold true with a strong sense of tradition.
