Alaskan winters and rough terrain are hard on vehicles, and when you drop a bundle on a new car or truck, and pay for it over 72 months, it places a lot responsibility on you to take care of it. Even if you buy a used vehicle, you are turning an ordinary commodity into a long-term investment!
Thanks to amazing breakthroughs in Automotive Appearance Technology, Ryan McGowan of True North Auto Detailing saw an opportunity to bring a higher level of car care service to his customers in Chugiak and the surrounding area by attending a 5-day triple-certification program from the Detailer of Air Force One, Renny Doyle of Detailing Success.
McGowan, a Chugiak resident of 22 years earned three major nationally-recognized accreditations including a Detailing Business, Paint Correction, Headlight Repair, and Ceramic Coatings Certification from Doyle; a basic written certification (CD) from the International Detailing Association (IDA); and an advanced hands-on “Skills Validated” (SV) certification, also from the IDA. All three ensure True North customers get the highest standard of care available for their cars, trucks, ATVs, and motorcycles.
McGowan is now a paint correction specialist who can revive faded, aging, even neglected car paint, back to its original shine, saving you thousands of dollars in a respray (re-paint).
He offers routine monitoring of your paint’s health, which is under constant attack from the environment and weather; and fixes any problems before it does long-term damage. He finishes it off with durable, long-lasting ceramic coatings that protect exterior paint, metals, hard plastics, trim, glass, upholstery, carpets and even leather. Coatings repel dirt, rain, and ice and last for months and years rather than weeks like waxes and over-the-counter products.
Ryan is also trained in the use of European Steam Clean technology using hot vapor to extract dirt from hard-to-reach places like door and seat pockets, vents, drink holders, and the console; as well as the removal of bacteria-causing stains and odors from fabrics and carpets.
Ultimately, McGowan can help you protect your automotive investment, so you get a better return on that investment when you sell or trade.
Even more exciting, McGowan qualifies for a coveted spot on the 2018 Air Force One Detailing Team at the Seattle Museum of Flight, which will be announced next spring. Doyle’s Detailing Success Team have been restoring and now preserving the original presidential jet Air Force One on display at the museum for nearly 15 years, along with a collection of other multimillion-dollar museum aircraft including a WWII Bomber and the Concorde.
