Eagle River Hockey League regular season resumed at the Harry McDonald Center on Sunday, 10-15-17 with three games in the AA Division.
PLAY IT AGAIN vs. SHINES
Shines, Nicholas Bennett notched the first of his two goals for the night on a power play in the first period after Play It Again’s Don Bruno was called for hooking. Bennett’s next goal came in the second period at 7:57. Play It Again avoided a shout out when Paul Johnson got the game within one at 6:31 of the third period. Play It Again pulled the net minder for an extra attacker and had barely gotten set up when Bruno was whistled again for Body Checking. Shines held on to win 2-1.
CUBS PAINTING vs. ODD MAN RUSH
Two first period goals by the Cubbies were all it took to defeat OMR in the second game of the night at the MAC. The first goal was tallied by Jordan Shannon, assisted by Ryan Ciolkosz and Tim Hilborn. The second goal came in at 4:01 by Eric Emerton and was set up by Tim Hilborn and Tim Pullen. Cub’s defeated OMR 2-0.
ER ALEHOUSE vs. STELLAR DESIGNS
In the final game of the night, goals were scored in all three periods. Alehouse started it all off with an unassisted goal by Karl Grinninger. The second period goal tied the game, when Stellar’s Vincent Terrell found the back of the net. The third period saw goals from both teams. Ryan Weaver got the go ahead goal at 12:01. As time was winding down, John Blotgett netted an unassisted goal with :12 remaining to tie the game at 3-3. This contest had three penalties, two by ER Alehouse and one by Stellar.
