Pizza Man vs. Homesteaders

In week four ERHL AAA hockey action the 2-1-1 Pizza Man took on the 0-2-2 Homesteaders in the first game at the MAC Center on Wednesday 10-25-17. Pizza Man wasted no time getting the scoring going. Max Daughtery scored unassisted .59 seconds into the contest. Daughtery who hasn’t played competitive or pick up hockey in over five years showed no rink rust. Pizza Man scored three more goals within the first seven minutes of the period. The other first period goals were netted by Michael McCurtain, Jake Thompson and Patrick Zmuda. Homesteaders, Brice Parks ripped a laser of a wrist shot from the left circle over the shoulder of the Pizza Man netminder to end the period 4-1. The second period was a back and forth affair with Pizza Man’s Jake Thompson netting the only goal of the period with :10 seconds remaining. Team Captain, Jake Thompson notched a hattrick with a third period goal to lead off the scoring. Homesteader’s didn’t go down without a fight, Ryan Bowdish answered right back with a goal at 15:41. With Pizza Man’s Brandon Hall in the box for hooking, Homesteader’s Jesse Johnson got a power play goal that added to the tally. However, Pizza Man held on to win, 6-3.

Jalapenos vs. Garcia’s

In the second game of the evening, Garcia’s who is looking for their first win of the season took on the 4-0-0 Jalapenos.  Jason Elledge opened it up and netted a hattrick for Jalapenos.
