It’s WEEK FOUR of the Eagle River Hockey League, and this is the AA recap.

Stellar Designs vs. Play it Again Sports

In the first game of the evening 1-1-2 Stellar Designs took on  2-2 Play It Again Sports. It didn’t take long for Play It Again to get rolling. At 15:10 of the first period Darin Newton got a goal. He also registered an assist in the second period on Todd Blackley’s tally. Stellar got on the board in the second with a goal from Blase Andromeda-Focht. It was a battle in the third, Play it Again’s Rob Sackerson netted a goal. Then, Andromeda-Focht got his second for the night. Stellar’s Tyler Carnahan tied the game. As time was running down, John McCormick got the game winner with :09 on the clock. Final score, Stellar 3, Play It Again Sports 4.

Shines Sushi vs. Cub’s Painting

The first period was all Shines. Nicholas Bennett lead off the scoring followed by Jason Allen with Bennett getting the assist. The second period was all Cubbies. Cub’s first goal was scored by Nate Curnow, then seven minutes later, Tim Hilborn got one. The final goal and game winner came at 6:31 by Adam Gabrielson. Shines Sushi  2 – Cub’s Painting 3.

Eagle River Ale House vs. OMR Brewing

OMR Brewing took on division leader ER Ale House looking for a first win. After a scoreless first period, Ale House finally got going in the second. Four goals were scored by different players, Matt Crosbie, Karl Greninger, Chad Lammers and Ryan Weaver. In the third, Ale House got three goals. Greninger netted his second of the night and Lammers punched in two more, getting a hattrick. OMR avoided a shutout when Jason Novotny got a goal with 2:46 remaining. Ale House 7 – OMR 1.
