It’s WEEK THREE of the Eagle River Hockey League, and this is the AA recap.
Play it Again Sports vs. Cub’s Painting
The first game of the evening was Play It Again Sports vs. Cubs Painting. Play It Again’s,  John McCormick’s two goals were not enough to defeat the Cubbies. McCormick’s first goal came at 8:47 of the first period with the assist going to Tim Plucinski. His second goal came in the third, unassisted.  The Cubbies scoring started late in the first, at .56 seconds by Ryan Ciolkosz, ending the period at 1-1.  Tim Hilborn stated off the second  with a goal at 10:40 with an assist from Nate Curnow. Curnow got another assist on the next goal from Michael Stevenson. That wrapped this one up with a 3-2 Cubbies victory. McCormick also made the score sheet with two penalties. Roughing in the first and one for tripping in the second.  Each team had three minor penalties in the contest totaling 12 minutes.
OMR Brewing vs. Eagle River Ale House
The second game featured the two local brew houses, Odd Man Rush vs. Eagle River Ale House. OMR mustered one goal in the first by Jason Novotny with the assist from Britt Damon and that would be all the scoring from OMR. The Ale House netted three second period goals and three third period goals. Garrett Riley and Steve Truesdale both had a great night with two goals and assist. The other two goals came from Cody Pittman and Karl Grinninger. Â Alehouse defeating OMR 6-1. The teams were whistled for four minor penalties, three by Alehouse and one by OMR.
Stellar Designs vs. Shines Sushi
The final game of the night Stellar Designs shutout Shines 3-0. Stellar netted goals in all three periods. Todd Dudinsky got the first of his two goals for the night at 10:35 of the first period and then again at 4:46 of the third. The second period goal was scored by Robert McCormick. Vincent Terrell, Tyler Carnahan and Kevin Doufherty assisted in the goals. There were no penalties, Stellar Designs 3-1 over Shines.
