Fall is here and so are the Alaska Railroad’s many special event trains.
It’s the perfect time of year to ride along the Railbelt and see the vibrant colors of the fall season, where passengers can experience the great views outside and the good times inside.
Bring the whole family aboard for a scary good time on the Kid’s Halloween Train. The family-friendly train is sure to be frightfully fun with costumes, crafts, tasty treats and more throughout the round-trip trek from Anchorage to Indian along the Turnagain Arm.
Last year’s Kid’s Halloween Train was such a hit that the Railroad has added an additional day of departures.
On Saturday, Oct. 21 and 28, families can choose to embark at 10 a.m. or 3 p.m. for the 2.5-hour trip.
Onboard activities include entertainment from a magician, crafts, balloon animals, Halloween-themed Bingo, a raffle and coloring contest. Come dressed as your favorite ghost or ghoul for some fearsome fun.
Tickets are $69 for adults and $35 for children 2-11 years old. Children under two who do not require a seat are considered “infant in lap” and may ride for free with an accompanying adult.
