Look, we’re in your mailbox!
The ECHO News, your community newspaper, is satisfying your need to read. We heard you were looking for something new and different, so we made some changes. Every month you will receive the ECHO News in your mailbox!
This month you can read about a school garden, a veterans oral history project, and a prominent member of our community. There’s an article welcoming the new principal of Chugiak High School written by one of our wonderful Kids’ Beat reporters.
You are also receiving the Alaska Cache. The Cache has made some changes as well. Not only is it a place for local businesses to get the word out about their services and offer coupons and monthly discounts, but we are extending our stories to the Cache as well.
The Alaska Cache has a great story this month on the formation of the Eagle River Hockey League written by Laura Simkins. Pressing Forward, written by Frank Baker, is a history of A.T. Publishing & Printing and another great read.
The ECHO News team is so grateful to be able to live and work in Chugiak-Eagle River. We take pride in being able to offer you some “good stuff” to read about our community.
Thank you so much for your continued support and readership,
P.S. Interested in writing some of this good stuff? Send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and let me know. Our “Kids’ Beat” column is written by elementary and middle school students, and we have an internship program available for any 9-12th grader in the district.
