The Guns Were Not Missing After All

Fri., May 12
APD officers responded to a report that a Mirror Lake Middle School student was harassing other students at the school. The case is still under investigation. MLMS is located in the 22900 block of Lake Hill Drive in Chugiak.
A homeowner in the 22200 block of Banner Circle in Chugiak near Mirror Lake discovered that entry into a shed on the property had been made overnight while the homeowners were at home sleeping. The homeowners reported no forced entry into the shed and that no items were missing. The incident was listed in police reports as a burglary.
An unidentified Mirror Lake Middle School student was charged with misconduct involving a controlled substance after the student allegedly brought a large bag of marijuana to the school located in the 22900 block of Lake Hill Drive in Chugiak.
Ciara R. Akers, age 22 of Eagle River, was arrested on an outstanding warrant to not related to the reason why police were called to the Eagle River Fred Meyer in the 13400 block of the Old Glenn Highway in Eagle River to investigate a report of a suspicious vehicle parked behind the building. According to reports, police made contact with a few individuals including Akers.
Sat., May 13
A report that guns were stolen from a home in the 19700 block of Lace Road in Chugiak turned out to be inaccurate. Upon investigation, police discovered that someone else in the home had moved the guns to another location within the home.
An unidentified person entered the community laundry room of an apartment complex in the 20900 block of Voyles Avenue in Chugiak and allegedly stole all of the money from the change machine.
Tues., May 16
Claims were made by two people that each assaulted the other during a visitation with their children and investigated by police. The incident which occurred in the 10900 block of High Bluff Drive in Eagle River did not result in any charges as police could not find probably cause in either alleged assault.
Wed., May 17
An unknown individual broke into a locked storage shed located in the 18600 block of the Old Glenn Highway in Chugiak and stole a weed eater.
A woman who refused to leave the Eagle River Motel premises was escorted by police of the property and driven to another undisclosed location in Anchorage. The case that occurred in the 11100 block of the Old Eagle River Road was listed on police records as a trespassing incident.
An APD patrol officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a silver Dodge pickup truck. The driver of the truck refused to yield and the officer discontinued the pursuit. The incident listed as eluding occurred in the 16300 block of Artillery Road in Eagle River.
