Heroin in the Vehicle; Sticky Fingers at the Car Wash and a Stolen Pistol

Thurs., Feb. 16
2:34 a.m.
Austin L. Quesenberry, age 20 of Eagle River, was arrested for alleged operation of motor vehicle while under the influence. Police made contact with Quesenberry at the corner of E. Eagle River Loop Road and Yosemite Drive where the vehicle he allegedly was driving was stuck in a ditch. Police were made aware of the event by a citizen call to APD Dispatch.
6:36 p.m.
A pistol was stolen from inside a Toyota vehicle in the 22200 block of Birchwood Loop Road in Chugiak. Police report it is believed that the theft occurred while the Toyota was parked at Three Bears.
Fri., Feb. 17
9:10 a.m.
APD officers responded to an alleged verbal altercation in the 16900 block of Meadow Creek Drive in Eagle River. Neighbors had called police regarding the verbal altercation and a blood trail coming from an apartment. Police made contact with people who were at the suspected apartment and called for medics to attend to one person whose hand was bleeding. The people at the apartment involved in the alleged incident were mostly uncooperative with police, according to police reports. The case remains open for further investigation.
12:25 p.m.
Shaun William Christenson, age 33 of Anchorage, was arrested for alleged possession of heroin and charged with Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance IV. Police made contact with Christenson after receiving a report of a stolen vehicle being driven recklessly. Police stopped the vehicle that Christenson was driving in the 26000 block of the Eklutna Village Road.
Sat., Feb. 18
1:27 a.m.
Two females got into a physical altercation at the Homestead Lounge in Eagle River. According to police reports, alcohol appeared to be a factor in the incident. There were no arrests.
4:55 p.m.
APD received an online report of unauthorized withdrawals being made from a bank account. The report was made from within the 11500 block of Business Blvd in Eagle River. No further information is currently available regarding this case.
Sun., Feb. 19
2:01 a.m.
Joseph H. Piner, age 34 of Anchorage, was arrested for alleged shoplifting at the Eagle River Wal-Mart store. He was charged with Theft II and booked into the Anchorage Jail. Piner was spotted by police in the parking lot upon arrival. According to police reports, Piner began to run through the parking lot when he saw the police car arrive. APD officer responding was able to catch Piner and take him into custody.
4:27 p.m.
An unidentified male allegedly entered the office of the Splashes Autospa in the 12600 block of the Old Glenn Highway in Eagle River and stole money from the cash box. The incident occurred during office hours while the employee was in a wash bay. This case is still pending.
Wed., Feb. 22
6:24 p.m.
A probation officer witnessed a male suspect allegedly exit the Eagle River Wal-Mart with a cart full of merchandise unpaid. The officer confronted the male who then allegedly abandoned the cart full of good and fled the area in a vehicle. Case remains open.
