The Fraternal Order of Alaska State Troopers (FOAST) will be hosting a book signing of three notable Alaskan crime and law enforcement books from Noon to 3 PM on Saturday, February 18th, at the Alaska Law Enforcement Museum at 245 W. 5th Avenue, Suite 113 in Anchorage.
“This is a unique opportunity to meet the authors of, and hopefully purchase, three remarkable books that are both Alaska and State Trooper-centric,” said Tom Anderson, retired colonel with the Alaska State Troopers and editor of one of the featured publications. “We’re hosting the book-signing venue at the Alaska Law Enforcement Museum, managed by the Fraternal Order of Alaska State Troopers, because of its extraordinary collection of police and crime memorabilia from one of the world’s most storied law enforcement frontiers. The museum is free to the public and definitely worth a visit,” Anderson added.
Signing their books will be: Col. Tom Anderson, Alaska State Troopers (ret.), editor of North Country Troopers – The Banner Collection; Tom Brennan, assistant editor of North Country Troopers and author of Dead Man’s Dancer (Michele Linehan story) and other books; and Leland Hale, co-author (with Major Walt Gilmour) of Butcher Baker (Robert Hansen story) and other works.
Editor’s Note: I have a copy of “North Country Troopers” and thoroughly enjoyed reading the stories of the work of Alaska State Troopers. Just might have to check out the other two as well.
