Music students from Chugiak High School earned the academic award at the recent All-State Music Festival for having the highest overall grade point average.
Four of the fourteen Chugiak High School music students attending the All-State Music Festival Nov.17-19 were awarded first chair position: Claire Mahoney, violin; Katelynn Marshall, stand-up bass; Paul Straub, tuba; and Nou Vue, trumpet.
