Elementary students at ERCS organized 41 shoe boxes for the international philanthropy effort by Samaritan’s Purse to bring holiday gifts to impoverished children across the globe.
Samaritan’s Purse is the brain child of Franklin Graham, the son of Billy Graham, a well-known American evangelist, and has delivered millions of shoe boxes since 1970. Shoe boxes include toys such as deflated soccer balls and inflation pumps, jump ropes, school supplies, solar calculators, non-liquid hygiene items, tee shirts, flashlights and batteries.
The ECHO News wishes to say “Kudos” to the students for taking action to help others during the holiday season.
